Short version: the numbers in Bruv stay on your phone. We can't see them, we don't sell anything, and there are no ads.

Bruv, the money and jobs app

• Your information lives on your phone. Your numbers, jobs, quotes, invoices, customers, receipts and files are saved in your phone's browser storage. Bruv does not upload them, and we can't see them.
• So you look after the backups. If you lose your phone or clear its data, they're gone unless you've downloaded a backup file. Bruv can make one for you: Settings, then "Your account and backup".
• Other people's details are in there too. Customers' names, phone numbers and addresses that you type in are on your phone only. If you keep other people's details, the Privacy Act 2020 applies to you as well, so keep them safe and only use them for the job.
• Quotes and invoices leave your phone only when you send them. When you press Send, your phone's share sheet opens and you choose where it goes (WhatsApp, Messages, Gmail and so on).
• Receipt scanning reads the photo on your phone. The first time, Bruv downloads the reading tool (Tesseract) and its language data from cdnjs.cloudflare.com, cdn.jsdelivr.net and tessdata.projectnaptha.com. Those services can see your IP address. They do not get your receipt.
• Voice typing (the microphone button) uses your phone's own speech service. On Android that is usually Google's, which may process what you say under its own rules. You can type instead.
• Contacts: if you tap "Pick from my contacts", Bruv receives only the contact you choose.

This website

• It is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare keeps standard technical logs (such as your IP address, the page asked for, the time and your device type) to run the site and keep it secure.
• The home page and Bruv load their fonts from Google Fonts, so Google can see your IP address when they load.
• We don't use advertising or analytics trackers on this site, and we don't use tracking cookies.
• If you email hello@itsdone.nz or use the contact form, we keep your message so we can reply and look after your job. Email is handled by our email host, 1stdomains.

When accounts and messages are switched on

Bruv does not have accounts or customer messages yet. When we switch them on we will collect your email address (to sign you in with a code), the backup copy of your data if you choose to back up online, and the messages you and your customers send. That information will be stored with Cloudflare. We will update this page before it happens and tell you what changed.

Your rights

Under New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email hello@itsdone.nz. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
